the song isn’t meant as a religious song, but it is a story from the bible so it is related, but abraham didn’t have a daughter, they just fit it into the song, but other than that, the song is basically the same as the story……

For me personally I think this is a foreshadow of book 2, so for me, Isaac lives.

HOOO this song reminds me of that bit in the third book, Mockingjay, when Katniss kills… the evil person. Whoever’s read the books, know whom I mean. This song is AMAZING.

    Have you seen The Seeker?

No, it’s a bible story, Isaac lives because Abraham proves to God that he’s willing to offer his son as sacrifice, no doubts. The song is a metaphor for the situation in Panem where citizens are forced to give their children up for sacrifice, much like Abraham was forced to do it by God.

Abraham’s Daughter is Katniss obviously. But she never existed in the real story.

That, my friend, is one of the very worst puns I’ve ever heard/read. I shall treasure it until the end of time. I love bad puns :$

When I heard this song in the movie Theater, I found it really disturbing for some reason now that I have listened to it more it is now my favorite song.

It fits that scene quite well, actually. Should’ve been on the Catching Fire soundtrack instead.
